Peggy's classes never fail to reveal an exciting, new way to employ favorite materials to create art. Her fun, adventurous and relaxed manner to teach (without taking herself too seriously), always makes me look forward to her next class."
This was so much fun! I loved Peggy's honest approach to her own workflows, I couldn't wait to get started on my own project right after watching the class. Loved it."
Such a great class! I previously tried by myself to embroider on photographs, but kept tearing the paper. With Peggy I managed to learn little techniques that made it possible! It's so easy once you figured it out!
we'll be covering
I'm thrilled to bring you a class all about hand embroidery on photos, where you will learn 10 basic embroidery stitches that will enhance images of all kinds.
It doesn't matter what skill level you're at with fiber art, whether you've never touched embroidery or you do it for a living, because this class is going to bring you a new way to stretch your creativity by looking at objects, details and colors in a new way, and I'm going to walk you through all of it step-by-step.
hey I'm Peggy
I'm an artist, author, and educator who loves helping people make art feel more approachable, playful, and entirely their own. I work across all kinds of mediums, from watercolor and drawing to lettering, gouache, and whatever creative rabbit hole has my attention next.
I’m especially drawn to projects that invite a little experimentation, which is exactly why I fell deeply in love with embroidery on photographs. There’s something so satisfying about taking an image that already holds a story and adding another layer by hand... a bit of texture, color, and personality that makes it feel completely new.
You don’t need to be “good at embroidery” for this class. We’re here to play, try things, and make something delightfully unexpected.
To get a jumpstart, make sure you've got a photograph, embroidery thread, thin needle, and scissors! We go over all supplies inside the course as well.
14 lessons, 2 hours and 24 minutes total. It's designed to be worked through in a few focused sittings, or you can spread the lessons out however works for you.
You'll enjoy lifetime access to the course so you can learn at your own pace and revisit the content whenever you need a refresher.
