I feel like I can officially say I'm capable of doing a monthly thing. This is volume 17, as in SEVENTEEN if you want to spell it out, of Peggy's Playground. It sounds extra consistent because that number has three syllables so I'm leaning in extra hard.
Pants. Pants! I MADE PANTS! They're a bit extra (by design) - let's call ‘em my balloon barrels. I'm still a bit in awe that I did conquered such a feat, and that it wasn't so bad to jump in. Y'all, if anyone told me I'd one day make something on a sewing machine that I'd confidently wear on my body, there's not a chance I'd believe it. I've clearly caught the sewing bug and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
I love it when I find a good ware. From essentials to splurges, these are my picks for wares this month…
- I have been SNACKING. Not because I’ve been extra hungry, but because these mini chocolate chip granola balls are so delishhhh!!
- Remember when I shared about these customizable backdrops for images/videos? Welllll I'm not the best at remembering to put them away after use, which means they get pretty beat up with paint, tea stains, scuffs, cat hair, more cat hair, more scuffs… and they're not exactly inexpensive.
While I still love those ones, I set off to find more options, which led me to these vinyl backdrops. They're more narrow, but I always overlap colors anyway, and they're double-sided. This pack comes with 24 colors! The colors are good enough that several of you have asked me what I use for my backdrops during live workshops, so I'll call it a win.
Pumping your own gas > attendant pumps your gas
This won't apply to everyone, but I live in a state that legally didn't let you pump your own gas until 2023. However, I didn't grow up in Oregon. I grew up 20 minutes over the bridge in Washington, where I always self-serviced. So now that Oregon does let you pump your own gas, I'm ALL ABOUT IT.
Hear me out. That queue is no joke. I am wildly impatient and if I can clearly see that the attendant has 4 cars to catch up on, I would much rather hop out and hook up the gas flow to the car myself. I get outta there faster than any of those cars because then they have to sit there and wait for the disconnect, too!

EVEN CUTER: Did you know they use these pockets to store their favorite rock inside? Some keep the same rock for their ENTIRE LIVES.
