If you’ve ever stared at a blank canvas, overwhelmed by the infinite possibilities of color, then buddy, do I have a challenge for you. I figured it’d be fun to limit our color palettes for an art piece where the color set you use is sealed not by your personal preferences, but by the deep, soul-exposing (okay, not even mildly accurate) results of the classic Myers-Briggs/16 Personalities test.
How the color palette challenge works
Each personality type gets a three-color palette:
🎨 Main color – Your MVP, the one doing the heavy lifting, the hero that draws you in
🎨 Secondary color – Your main color’s BFF, also prominent, but doesn’t quite have that main character energy
🎨 Accent color – The spice, the drama, the little extra ✨pizzazz✨ that ties it all together
And no, you don’t get to swap them out if you don’t like them—where’s the challenge in that? Embrace the struggle. Art thrives on limitations, after all.
Why I love art challenges (a.k.a. why you should do this one)
Look, I love art challenges. Nothing forces you out of your comfort zone like being random prompts and told, “good luck.” There’s something about constraints that makes your brain go, Ah yes, time to get wildly creative because I have no other choice.
Plus, let's be honest—some of us (me, it’s me) are indecisive when it comes to PICKING A LANE, by that I mean a subject matter, a style, or in this case, a selection of colors. This challenge removes that existential crisis. Your palette is chosen by the personality test gods, and you just have to roll with it.
How to join the fun

🌙 The Dreamers (INFP, INFJ, ENFP, ENFJ)
You live in your own little world, filled with deep thoughts and probably at least five unfinished art projects. Your color palettes are soulful—just like you.
