I wanted to share a big giant WIN with my studio revamp. I’ve got lots of things that I haven’t completed just yet, but I’m already so much happier with this outcome. This vid is 11 mins of what you might not be too excited about seeing, but in the event that you’re also looking for solution-based setups, perhaps it might spark something for you.
As promised, a long list of links:
Rail system
- Channel rails
- Channel hanger bracket
- Rail trolleys thin base / thick base
- 15ft surge protector power strip
- I originally grabbed trolley stoppers, but realized I could just use long screws to block rail ends so I returned. But they were great quality if you want to be legit haha.
- Another thing I returned, but great if needed, are trolleys for cord management. I ended up using magnetic silicone cable ties instead.
Camera
- Talking head camera (not used in this vid)
- Talking head lens (I got mine used for a much better deal)
- [New] Overhead camera (w/kit lens since it’ll be used for demo)
- Camera cooling fan
- Camera dummy battery
- Quick release system (I researched for so long and love these)
- Memory card
Lighting
- Pancake key light (I’ve got this mounted on pantograph)
- Small LED panels
- RGB light sticks
Mounting & Adapters
- Monitor mount
- Mic desk mount
- Mic shock mount
- Dual desk mount
- Pantograph
- Baby pin to 1/4" male
- Baby pin to 3/8" male
- Ball head
- Quick release system
- Magic arm clamp
Misc
- Blackmagic Speed Editor (comes with Davinci Resolve Studio)
- Remote control plugs (favorite new addition)
- Remote control power strip
- Collapsible monitor stand
- Magnetic cable ties
- Magnetic phone monitor mount (charging compatible)
- Boucle chair w/storage ottoman
- Prettiest cabinet (and a cheaper dupe)
- The most realistic flameless candles (remote powered!)
Whewww ok done for now. Next step is to snag a set of dual motorized shades for the window (light filtering + blackout), so excuse me while I continue deep down that research rabbit hole 😅
