I'm late! I'm late! It's okay though, because better late that never. I've got another monthly overshare for you, startingggg now!
Ok my personal project was work-related, but it's where I've been pouring all of my energy and I'm just elated about it. You know that teaching is my favorite thing ever and I could show up and share art all day every day, right? Well, would you be surprised if I told you I didn't want to do that? IKR… I identified the problem: Setup. I don't want to deal with moving all the tripods and cords and light placement all the time, and I didn't want to keep them stationary because then that equipment would take over my work space. My “wish” of just having it all up off the floor became reality when I took charge, realizing I was a full adult and could make that happen. So, here we are, a new and improved, aesthetically pleasing, easy to film, permanent setup. My troubleshooting persistence paid off and it made my life so much easier, that I'm sharing all of the ins and outs with you in this blog.
And I can't wait to tell you about a few more small fav finds in my process...
I love it when I find a good ware. From essentials to splurges, these are my picks for wares this month…
-
Cable management. Ughhh okay options, options… the dinky wire things they come with? …rubber bands? …thicker gear ties (I do like those, but they're not my final answer)? …wrapping the cord around itself? How about some stretchy, silicone, magnetic ties?! I found them by accident and I'm not looking back. I've already found so many uses for them. Also look at them in these colors 🥰
- I'm doubling down on what I said in the last volume because outlets that have a physical remote control > smart outlets. It's just the truth (no thanks “need to pair” for the 800th time). There's even a power strip version!
- Everybody needs a physical flip clock. They're just cool (I have two because I wanted to be extra cool that day). Maybe I should get a white one too
- FINALLY a quality low profile super strong laptop stand
Bananas are technically berries.
& bonus random fact:
Strawberries aren't berries!
A strawberry is actually a multiple fruit which consists of many tiny individual fruits embedded in a receptacle tissue.

I never knew I was alone in this, but it's come to my attention that people don't like candy corn. To which I say…excuse me?
I certainly do not eat candy corn anymore because I'm well aware of its wildly unhealthy, awful ingredients. But uhm… for the sake of nostalgic innocence, you're telling me that you didn't like the taste or texture of those somehow waxy-and-chalky-at-the-same-time candies?! 🤣
- We took another little road trip through Canada and even brought Jim! We also left a little piece of our heart in Vancouver, a place that pleasantly surprised us. Not to mention the amazing ramen place we discovered ohemgeeee I want it now.
- I made the most subtle eerie Halloween coven. It's no Spirit Halloween, that's for sure 😱 I brought Jim with me into a nearby forest to source allllll the sticks, and he hated it. He was pulling the entire time because I kept going off the path. Of course, every possible neighbor was outside on my walk back… I had so many sticks dragging on the ground while my dog pulled the entire way up the hill. I'm sure it was a delightful scene to watch 😆
- Ok. I did it. I got Zelda. And I'm having the best time with it. Y'all were right.
